Pros:

• Startupers served as a great location to source remote, freelance, and/or full-time employees.
• To post an ad on Startupers, employers did not need to register for an account.
• Startupers was frequently used by local payroll software company, Employment Hero.

Cons:

• The website provided limited information and did not feature a language-translation tool.
• Customer support hours were not stipulated on the website.
• In order to post a job, employers needed an applicant tracking system and a Twitter username.
• Startupers lacked advanced features, such as analytics and resume database access.
• The majority of Australian jobs advertised on Startupers were based in Sydney.

SEEK is a widely popular job board in Australia, thanks to its variety of job categories and local reach. While Startupers stood out as the more affordable option, the platform's reach in Australia was not as extensive, mainly advertising jobs in Sydney and Melbourne, whereas SEEK has a wide reach across the whole country.

Startupers vs. JobsJobsJobs.com.au:

JobsJobsJobs.com.au is a general job board where Startupers catered mainly to the tech field. JobsJobsJobs.com charges A$154.00 +GST per post and the job board covers Australia nationwide. Startupers, on the other hand, was 100% free, but the majority of the jobs catered to the U.S. market.

Startupers vs. Dice:

Dice is a niche job board that caters to employers in the tech field. Similar to how Startupers worked. While Dice is a popular job board, it does not offer a free plan, and employers can expect to pay US$495.00 per job posting, whereas Startupers was a completely free job posting service, which may be better suited to startup companies.
