Review:
The CAIS Careers Board gives employers access to a targeted audience of professionals in Canada's education sector and presents a budget-friendly hiring tool for CAIS members. However, for nonmembers, the job posting service is costly compared to other niche sites, such as Jobs in Education, and general job boards, such as Job Bank.
While the site offers job posting durations of up to 90 days, which is longer than the typical 30 days, the job board does not offer any additional hiring tools, such as company profiles, candidate management tools, resume searches, or job post distribution.
Pros:
- The platform targets a niche audience of educational professionals across Canada.
- CAIS members can post jobs for free.
- Employers can choose between 30-, 60-, and 90-day job posting durations.
- A business logo can be included with job postings to aid brand awareness.
- The job posting process is simple.
Cons:
- The job posting service is costly for nonmembers.
- The site lacks job post enhancements, company profiles, candidate management tools, resume searches, and job distribution.

CAIS Careers Board vs. Jobs in Education:
CAIS Careers Board offers a longer job posting duration than Jobs in Education but, unlike the latter, does not have any featured job posting options or bulk job ad packs. Neither platform has a searchable resume database or offers job post distribution. CAIS Careers Board is free for CAIS members but the costlier option for nonmembers.
CAIS Careers Board vs. Teach Away:
Unlike CAIS Careers Board, Teach Away features a searchable resume database and applicant tracking tools. While CAIS Careers Board may have a stronger presence in Canada, Teach Away attracts website visitors from across the globe, making it a good option for employers looking to recruit international staff.
CAIS Careers Board vs. Job Bank:
Job Bank is a general job board that is completely free, in contrast to CAIS Careers Board, which targets the local education market only and charges nonmembers to post jobs. While the latter offers a more targeted approach to hiring education professionals, Job Bank is more affordable and reaches a larger audience.
