Review:
TechFetch is a technology platform that connects employers with tech professionals. The site allows employers access to over a million resumes, offers a free trial, and provides job posts with exposure on its social media pages.
Canadians make up less than one percent of visitors to the site, but there is a good variety of jobs based in Canada on the site. If you are looking for international candidates, the site is also great for sourcing global talent.
Pros:
- Employers are offered a 7-day free trial.
- Employers can connect with a global tech workforce community in the U.S., Canada, U.K., India, the Middle East, and other countries.
- The site has a reach of over two million tech professionals, similar to BetaKit Jobs.
- Employers have access to more than 1 million tech resumes.
- Advanced technology matches jobs with relevant active candidates in 30 seconds — a feature not found in similar local platforms such as the CIPS Job Board.
- Resume searches are saved and sophisticated search filters simplify resume searches.
- Packages include a social job share feature to share job posts on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. TechFetch has 10,291 likes on Facebook and 1,327 followers on Twitter.
- TechFetch's range of features is not extensive but quite powerful and is on par with similar local job boards.
Cons:
- The site only offers two annual subscription packages, unlike most job boards that charge per post.
- No free plans are offered.
- No candidate management system is available.
- Resume views are limited on both subscription packages.
- High visibility, promoted jobs are limited to the more expensive Diamond subscription plan.
- Job post syndication to partner sites and dedicated customer support is only available on the Diamond plan.
- The website is not available in French.
- Pricing is only listed in U.S. dollars.
- Less than one percent of visitors to the site are from Canada.
Reputation:
There are limited reviews available online, but one user on Quora said that they were put off by how many fake resumes were on the site.
There are several customer testimonials on the website, with clients commenting on the high quality of candidates found, the ease of using the site's filter to find candidates with specific skills, and the speed of the candidate matching system. It should be noted that the most recent testimonials submitted were in 2014.

TechFetch vs. CIPS Job Board:
The Canadian Information Processing Society (CIPS) is a hub for IT professionals that offers a job board. Pricing begins at C$90.00 per post, and employers benefit from exposure to a large audience on the website, in newsletters, and on social media. TechFetch also offers social media exposure, as well as candidate matching and a global reach.
TechFetch vs. Stack Overflow Talent:
Stack Overflow Talent is a tech job board with several hiring tools such as assistance with creating job listings, candidate matching, and a dashboard for managing jobs and candidates. TechFetch offers comparable features, but since Stack Overflow Talent's pricing is unknown, it is unclear which job board is the best value for money.
TechFetch vs. BetaKit Jobs:
BetaKit Jobs is a Canadian tech job board. With some packages, employers can post unlimited jobs, get access to candidate matching, and gain exposure to the site's 85,000 social followers. BetaKit Jobs offers a similar range of services to TechFetch but with more package options and a similar audience size.
