The creative consultant should be adept at collaborating with other professionals, finding creative solutions, and preparing detailed proposals. Creative Consultant Responsibilities:
- Understanding the needs of clients and finding creative ways to solve their problems.
- Preparing impeccable proposals and design briefs, and pitching them to clients or stakeholders.
- Providing creative counsel via email, video and voice calls, or in person.
- Equipping clients with resources and tools they can use in future projects.
- Identifying weaknesses in a campaign, design, or project, and suggesting improvements.
- Collaborating with clients and other specialists, but also completing tasks unsupervised.
- Working irregular hours when required.
- Remaining open to feedback and criticisms.
- Defending creative decisions in an appropriate manner.
Creative Consultant Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree or postgraduate qualification in design, marketing, communications, art, creative writing, or a related discipline may be required.
- A portfolio of creative work.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop Elements, Adobe Illustrator, AutoCAD, or similar may be advantageous.
- Familiarity with project management software like Teamwork, Slack, Workzone, or similar.
- Superb collaboration and multitasking skills.
- Natural creative flair.
- Excellent technical aptitude.
- The ability to meet deadlines.
