Production Sorter Responsibilities:
- Reading daily instructions from the supervisor.
- Receiving and loading raw materials for processing.
- Operating production line equipment and machinery, such as conveyor belts.
- Sorting through and removing damaged or defective items from the production line.
- Organizing and labeling items into categories.
- Unloading processed items into bins for distribution.
- Ensuring that equipment, tools, and machinery are operated safely and maintained.
- Reporting any damages, malfunctions, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
- Following all health and safety regulations.
- Cleaning down the production line including equipment, machinery, and work area.
Production Sorter Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as a production sorter preferred.
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
- Familiarity with production lines and equipment.
- Excellent understanding of the OSHA protocols and regulations.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Attentive to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Physically fit and able to stand for long periods of time, operate machinery, and move and lift heavy items.
